Hello,

I have a few suggestions for the site.
Firstly, I think you should perhaps possibly consider changing the black and White theme, as I notice almost every single gaming forum has the same similar colour skin.
Also, the shoutbox looks ok. You probably need a biggish banner at the page because it looks a bit messy, and perhaps your own logo. Maybe a snake biting it's tail, pheonix flying in flame, etc.
Something for anyone else looking around your forum, or forums you adverise on to instantly see your logo, Which would become more familiar to them.
Maybe some other minor changes, your gaming news now titles overlaps on the user panel.

Thanks

source: http://www.maxconsole.net

So now we see how Microsoft became dubbed M$. Major Nelson has revealed that as of November 1st 2010, the price of Xbox LIVE will be INCREASING in the following regions; USA, Canada, Mexico and of course United Kingdom. So now a 12 month membership will cost $59.99 instead of $49.99 in the US. Although other regions seem less badly affected as the price chanes seem to relate to just one month subscriptions.

Here is the full word from Major Nelson

I wanted to let you know that as of November 1, 2010 we are increasing the price of an Xbox LIVE for some members. This price increase only affects Xbox LIVE Members in Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom or the United States.

US
Current
1M Gold: $7.99
3M Gold: $19.99
12M Gold: $49.99

Starting Nov 1, 2010
1M Gold: $9.99
3M Gold: $24.99
12M Gold: $59.99

UK
Current
1M Gold: 4.99 GBP

Starting Nov 1, 2010
1M Gold: 5.99 GBP

Canada
Current
1M Gold: $8.99 CAD

Starting Nov 1, 2010
1M Gold: $9.99 CAD

Mexico
Current
12M Gold: 499 Pesos

Starting Nov 1, 2010
12M Gold: 599 Pesos

Unless listed above, there is no change in any other subscription packages.

Since launching Xbox LIVE in 2002 we have continually added more content and entertainment experiences for our members, while keeping the price the same. We’re confident that when the new pricing takes effect, an Xbox LIVE Gold membership will continue to offer the best value in the industry.

However, we do want to thank our loyal members and give you the opportunity to lock in your current price with an additional discount, so now would be a good time to renew your subscription.

well, after almost 5 years of gold. guess im going back to silver...

Confirming earlier reports (see blu-ray.com, April 17), George Lucas himself announced today that the Star Wars films will be released on Blu-ray in 2011, in a six-movie box set. Speaking at the Celebration V convention in Orlando, Lucas said: "I wish I could say it was coming out this year, but it will come out next year." New, extensive special features will be featured, including documentaries, vintage behind-the-scenes moments, interviews, retrospectives and never-before-seen footage from the Lucasfilm archives.

One of those special features, a deleted scene from Return of the Jedi, premiered at the convention. In it, Luke Skywalker is seen asembling his new lightsaber before going to the palace of Jabba the Hutt.

"Blu-ray is the absolute best way to experience Star Wars at home – in pristine high definition," said George Lucas. "The films have never looked or sounded better."

In an interview with the New York Times, Lucas said that the saga hadn't been announced before because he was waiting for mass adoption of the Blu-ray format. "We've been wanting to do it as soon as we possibly could, but we just wanted to do it when enough people would be able to buy it and see it," said the filmmaker.

Lucas also clarified that the original trilogy movies will be included as they were shown theatrically in 1997 and released on DVD in 2004 - i.e., the original versions will not be included. "You have to go through and do a whole restoration on it, and you have to do that digitally," he said. "It's a very, very expensive process to do it. So when we did the transfer to digital, we only transferred really the upgraded version."
Talks between Sony and the British TV channel are at early stages, but Channel 4 seems confident of a deal being made with an insider quoted as saying - "4oD is becoming a platform agnostic product and will be successful because of the quality of the content."

This is the first hint of a Beta program for the latest Killzone game.

A web site featuring the words "Killzone 3 beta login" in the url and heavy Killzone 3 branding has recently appeared.

It currently warns that users need to "sign-in and have the right permission to view the rest of the site." There is a field to enter a PlayStation Network login, but so far we haven't been able to gain access. It looks like the first confirmation that Killzone 3 will follow in the footsteps of its predecessors and have a beta program before launch.

As a reminder, Herman Hulst of Guerrilla Games will be delivering the Keynote Address at GDC Europe next week. IGN will be there to cover all of the Game Developers Conference and the massive GamesCom conference in Cologne which runs from August 18-22.
